Leathwaite’s have received a Guildford Design Award for ‘Skyridge’, which received Commendation for its Environmental Sustainability. The awards, held every two years, celebrate well designed, innovative, architectural and environmental projects that contribute to the quality and sustainability of our surroundings. The dramatic contemporary design reflects a high performance low energy building with key features including infra-red heat reflecting render.
JUB Trend Heat Reflective is the first render designed for the use of dark colours including black onto insulation and ICF Systems. 5 years of technical research has culminated in a render which has the ability to reflect the infrared part of the light spectrum and by doing so can have a 40% higher Total Solar Reflectance meaning the surface will not warm up as much.
